Niko Va'afusuaga

Niko is a self taught ballpoint pen artist with over twenty years experience in sketching realism. He’s also an established tattooist, graffiti artist & co-founder of Malosi Studio. Originally from New Zealand and Samoa, now residing on the Gold Coast in Australia, Niko draws much of his creative inspiration and passions from the ocean, spending much of his spare time fishing, making lures, surfing and sketching.

“Using biro ink as a medium is similar to the craft of tattooing. It demands precision and accuracy leaving no room for error, there is no eraser. You have to commit to each stroke with caution, a challenge that requires you to be decisive in both your ability and execution.”

This collection is the result of many years of devotion to detail, a true passion project. We are excited to be able to finally share these incredible art prints with everyone for the first time.
